Hi,

As part of my QG, I have to do my holiday/camp licence. Since I'm not great under canvas, I think I'd like to do my holiday licence. However, I'm a bit uninspired as to where to hold it. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm in Gerrards Cross, btw.

If you don't mind coming a little bit north, the one closest to us is Ellesborough near Aylesbury. Nice house with a brand new kitchen. Access to a steep walk up the hill, ideal for picnics and kite flying.

The other ones I have been to are Heron's Lodge at Milton Keynes (Guider's rooms are en-suite!!!).

Windy Sayles, right next to Whipsnade Zoo.

There's a pack holiday house over Hemel Hempstead way, but I can't remember where exactly at the moment.

You have Paccar right near you (formerly Chalfont Heights) and Phasels Wood is about half an hour away. Or how about the Willow Tree Centre, I hear that's really nice and only 20 mins from you. Otherwise, just over half an hour away there's Heyswood and Walton Firs (both in Cobham) or Weyside at Herons Wey. All of the last 3 are good, I haven't been to the first three though.
