The Apple Store run ‘field trips’ on evenings on different topics. You can register your interest on their website but we were on the waiting list for 9 months!

At our last one we had... Drinks and Biscuits for £1 Cake stall Tombola Book Stall Bric a Brac Hook a Duck All the girls have the chance to earn their hostess badge and so make posters and invites in the weeks before to give to friends and family. We also make sure it's advertised well in...

Oh i've just inherited a lot of wool, that's not my worry. I think i'd have to have 3 circles on the go

    Brownies fundraising for Blue Cross

No, but friends and families would support. The £500 was on a Saturday, but we've done evening coffee mornings (Or evenings) with a Tombola, raffle, drinks etc and made over £200.

I keep putting this off as I think it sounds rather dull.... And with 30 girls it's either a lot of wool or a lot of circles of chairs.

If you do a bake sale, you might as well turn it into a Coffee evening and go all out ;) We do coffee mornings with Brownies and raise a good few hundred pounds every time (Last time we raised around £500 in 1.5 hours) - This can also link with the Hostess badge ;)

What are you doing/done in your units this week? Part 4

The field trips in Leeds (Which is 10 miles away) are run either during the afternoon or after the store closes. So ours is 6.15 - 7.45. It means that Brownies is a longer session that night, but it's something we wouldn't be able to offer in the meeting place. We've booked a coach to take us...

What are you doing/done in your units this week? Part 4

This week we did our Brownie Traditions badge so worked on lots of different things in small groups - expected very few due to Bonfire night, but got 19/24 girls! Next week we're going on an evening trip to the Apple Store to do filmmaking.... Exciting!

Don't spend time chasing. Set a deadline and stick to it ('If I haven't heard from you by XXXXX date, I will have to remove your daughter from our waiting list') No point in spending your time doing it

This is my problem. I have girls who's parents will prefer they sit on my waiting list for potentially 12 months rather than taking them to one of the two next closest units (Which are both under a mile as the crow flies). I can't force them to go to another unit, but as long as i've managed...

What would you say the answer would be? I have 2 sets of twins on my waiting list, both (I mean both sets) have the same dates of birth and both surnames start with the same letter, meaning I have: EH, LH and 2 x BH's on my waiting list with 2 having the same addresses (Obviously, as they're...
