    Scottish G2G 2

Thought that as we are discussing our next G2G I would post a new thread to keep it all together!

Please also see the end of the G2G1 thread as we have started talking about getting together in Lossiemouth, up here in Moray.

Scotchmi5t made this new thread for a Scottish G2G 2 after we started talking about it in another thread.
I thought I would also post here what I said in the other post so you dont have to search too much!

If I was to offer to arrange the next one how about this for an idea.....

Lossiemouth have their own Guide hut and allthough it doesnt have beds it does have a large hall (which I have slept in on camp/blow up bed....quite comfy too) a large equipt kitchen, toilets, secure ground around the hut and not far from the beach.

Lossiemouth is on the Moray firth and may seem a long way from us down in Edinburgh/Glasgow/Central areas but it is really easy to get to.

It would be relativley cheap to rent even for 2 night (fri/sat).

Anyway let me all know what you think or throw some ideas this way and I MIGHT offer to arrange the next one LOL

Scotchmi5t is quite close to Lossiemouth and seems keen to help organise it too(hope thats right scotchmi5t!!??).

I know all the Guiders there and who would be able to arrange a few acivities for us, especially if it is a 2 night stay.

Anyway, as I said let me know if anyone is interested in this idea.

And as we said in the other thread, its really easy to get to. Just jump on a train to Aberdeen, then you have to jump on the Inverness train and get off at Elgin.

You can also go via Inverness but you have to change at Perth.

Both dippy and I are willing to taxi people from Elgin to Lossiemouth, its only about 4 miles.

And yes I'm willing to help organise this one!

I'm not sure yet - anyone got any thoughts?

I'm free most weekends, other than a weekend in May when I'm away with the Brownies and the middle of June when I'm away to Rockness.

I am only free on "away" games for my beloved HIBS and won't know what weekends till the fixture list comes out. I could forego a home game but would have to travel by train as hubby would need the car if we are to be away for 2 nights.

I know most people are either on holiday or their unit camps in October and some may still on holiday in September. I usually go in September after the English schools are back then I don't need to suffer someone else's children whilst on holiday - bad attitude I know but at least I'm honest!!!

I'm up for a trip to Lossie definately!!

As much as I'd love it to be sooner, after the summer might be nice. October/November time once we've all been to camps and holidays and stuff.

I'm totally shattered today, even after a massive sleep last night!
