Having always being told we could only wear 5 badges on our tabs and seeing a guider in the February 'Guiding' Magazine clearly wearing at least 7, a fellow guider emailed HQ and asked them how many we can wear.
This was the answer:
In reply to your email question, there is no set ruling on how many badges to wear on your badge tab but it is advisable to wear the most important badges on the tab.
we can only wear 4!!! oooh i'm gonna cram them all on

Time is a great healer. Unless it's a rash, then you're better off with ointment.
Lol!!!! :d
Don't ask me!- I will only say Yes!
does this mean guiders are all gonna start wanting to gain loads of badges to wear on their tabs?
I was always told 4 but actually have 5 on there at the moment. I have a further 3 in my jewellery box which should really be on there.
so as a guider who hasnt got many badges on her tabs what should i go for?
I always thought it was four plus promise pin somewhere else on uniform. I stick to three and put the promise pin on there as well. How the devil you cram 8 on there Pinkstar, I have NO idea. Photo?? This I feel we have to see, I want to marvel at your work.
I have 11.....
PB, the small 100 years badge, an Australian Koala, 5 year badge, Chief Guide's Challenge Badge, Commonwealth Award Badge, Pax Lodge Badge, Europe Region WAGGGS Badge, White Bar, Blue Bar and Yellow Bar. (Before you ask, Oarsman permit and Canoeist Permit.)
Some overlap, but they are on there.
