i would really like the words to princess pat. as it was taught to me a few years ago, i remember the tune just not the words.

    The Princess PAt
    lived in a tree
    she sailed across
    the seven seas
    she sailed across
    the channel too
    and took with her
    a rick-a-bam-boo

    a rick-a-bam-boo
    now what is that?
    its something used
    by the princess pat
    its red and gold
    and purple too
    thats why its called
    a rick-a-bam-boo

    now the Captain Jack
    has a mighty fine crew
    they sailed across
    the channel too
    but his ship sank
    and yours will too
    if you dont take
    a rick-a-bam-boo

    a rick-a-bam-boo
    now what is that?
    its something used
    by the princess pat
    its red and gold
    and purple too
    thats why its called
    a rick-a-bam-boo

    Now the princess pat
    lives in a barrat home
    with a microwave oven
    and a cordless phone
    got a kenwood chef
    and a hoover too
    when she flushes the toilet
    all the water turns blue

    head and shoulders shampoo
    now what is that?
    its something used
    by the princess pat
    its frequent use
    anti-dandruff too
    thats why its called
    head and shoulders shampoo

    now the captain jack
    collects income tax
    drives a shiny red porsche
    has a filofax
    his boxer shorts
    are made of silk
    and he doesnt drink whisky
    cause he only likes milk

    a portaloo
    now what is that?
    its something used
    by the princess pat
    its white and blue
    and smells of poo
    thats why its called
    a portaloo

I haven't checked the site cited, but please know that the "Princess Pat" isn't a popular song with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. Originally the song began: The Princess Pat's Light Infantry. The song we sing is apparently a rip-off
    of a regimental song.

The rick-a-dam-doo is apparently a version of the Scots Gaelic name for the regimental colours, which were sewn for them by Princess Patricia herself. (The colours are red, gold and purple).

Please don't get me wrong - we sing the song (with actions!) in Canadian Guiding, to be sure. Just know that the First and Second Battalions of the "Princess Pats" aren't impressed with us singing 'their' song.

this has been mentioned on here before
and a number of people were not impresses with the modified version and said it showed disrespect for an old regimental song
