    Pennies For Pudsey

    Hi,

As part of my Queen's Guide Award, I have been doing my Community Action research on child poverty.

My practical project has been creating this challenge pack to raise money for Children in Need. It contains activities designed for Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, but they would probably also be suitable for Senior Section. I'll be using it with my own units this year, and I'm hoping that others in my district and county will use it too. I thought I'd post it on here for you ladies to see too, as I'd like to get as many people as possible raising money for this fantastic charity this year.

    Emma

The project also ties in quite nicely with one of the challenges for Adventure 100.

I'm through accepting limits 'cause someone says they're so. Some things I cannot change but 'till I try I'll never know.
I think I'll try defying gravity ... and you can't pull me down.

My goal is to do more challenge and less badge work in brownies(they can do badge work at home!) - it looks good - and would be good to do in the run up to children in need - will print it off and show my GIC!

Love this idea. Was going to get the Rainbows to collect for charity to help others who don't have what we do as an extension of the Right to be Happy badge. Was thinking Oxfam Unwrapped or similar but children in need would fit the bill too, so will see what the girls think.

Yeah that's ok. I probably won't have them available for about a month though.
