That's great - suggest you have them written out on a card which you can slip in your pocket, as a memory jogger - in case nerves mean you struggle to remember the ones you're not used to - I've seen that happen a few times!

Hi All
Can anyone let me know when my new ABG can make her promise? She's only just joined and hasn't got her book yet so I don't know what it says. We have a meeting on Thinking Day this year and I was just thinking it would be quite special if she could do it then, but not sure if there's anything she needs to have done first?

She needs to have a discussion with you, or her mentor, about the promise and what it means to her. Then it is really a case of when she feels she is ready. I can think of no reason why you should not be able to go for thinking day.
I have put a full electronic of the book on another thread on here (Has anybody got a spare leadership book?) so you could download it and make a start.

Oh that's great, thanks Cazbly! I'll suggest it to her and see what she would like to do. I'll also download a copy of the book for reference (it's all changed since I did mine!) and get her started as mentors are hard to come by round here!
