    Default Dentist help? Please?

    Hiiii,
Just wondering if anyone can help me please? Spesh if anyone has any dentristy training.
I baked some goats cheese and tomato tarts this morning and though they had cooled down enough to eat.
    I was wrong.
The tomatao wasn't and I' bit into it over my second pre-molar on the left hand side. I've managed to burn the inside of the gum in the small gap i have and the outside to blistering point. The inside has poppet (nice I know) and so has inbtween the teeth, outside hasn't.
I'm at uni and I'm not registered at a dentist yet (spesh as the dentist told me I only need to go once a year because I do have very healthy teeth), otherwise I would go there.
Is there anything I should do? I was going to swish around with mouthwash but am unsure if that will be too harsh... Going to do a salt wash later, want to let the skin settle cos it's very painful atm! I have a few metronidazole tablets left over from the infection I had on my impacted wisdom teeth about two months ago... Any help?
I know i'm a complete and utter nugget. Any help really would be apprecaited.
    Thank you

Ok, just to be gross the outside one has popped and the skin feels fine really. It's the inner too that aren't. Checked with a mirror and they are red raw and I (look away if squeamish!) have accidentlly managed to pull the skin away... Ewww!

it aint what you do .... it's the way that you do it .... and that's what gets results.

    Poor you, sounds nasty.
I am no dentist, I am just guessing. But I would think that unless you can see someone, the best thing to do is
    1) leave it alone - no mouth wash etc as it might irritate it (advice now is not to put cream etc on burns)
    2) give it a couple of days see if it heals or gets infected - it might just heal on it's own.
    3) avoid anything with sugar as it will encourage infection
    4) if you have any sign of infection go see someone immediately (the doc will be able to help I would have thought if you have no dentist)
    5) NEVER use left over drugs without medical advice, if you take a couple of unprescibed antibiotics and then stop you are breading resistance to antibiotics in any infection that is starting. REALLY BAD IDEA. You should always take the full course of anti-bacterial drugs and if there are any left dispose of them by taking them to the pharmacist. You really don't want to contribute to bacterial resistance (both for your own good and the wider good).
    I hope this helps

    /Tarts were lovely ty
I don't have any ice.. Luck would be to have room in the freezer (six adults sharing one normal sized freezer...).
I'm going to try and avoid dairy aswell as the bacteria on that hangs around (hence why you should never have it when you have a sore throat) didn't know about sugar but will try to avoid as much as poss!
I know the mouth heals pretty fast, so hoping it will heal, but just want to make sure that'ere nothing that I do need to do.
    Thanking you ladies again

I use rinstaed or corsodyl, for my manky wisdom teeth. although it gave me enlarged saliva glands..so looked like a hamster....but oooh poorlyyou! Glad the tarts were nice though!

I just thought, when I had horrendous ulcers due to excess vomiting of pregnancy I had this paste ffrom the chemist that you daubed over the wounds...you could try that,

    Owwww, poor you.
I don't have any better advice than anyone else, but agree that a dr would be able to help you if it gets infected as you don't have a dentist. I also think cordosyl mouthwash would be a good thing, as it is used by patients who have chemotherapy that causes extreme irritation to the inside of their mouth. Hope it gets better soon.

I just have Morrison's own mouthwash as Mw is incredibly expensive
Ty for advice peoples. It feels a lot better this arvo so that's a plus... The outside is pretty numb atm, the inside is still very sore and raw, the third blister inbetween my teeth, well i'm just not putting my tongue there!
. Had pasta for din dins so that was soft and tbh, I generaly eat on the right hand side of my mouth (blisters on the left) so that's not too bad.
Think I'm going to do the salt washes you all suggested tonight.
    Ty lovelies. Hugs!
