I have a guide going on international travel - where does she put the UK badge
When I asked this before working at our chalet last year I was told left sleeve, about three fingers width down from the shoulder seam. Def put it on the left, different people seem to have it slighty different heights on that arm, but generally just below the shoulder.
It should be 3 fingers down ( promise!) from the edge of the seam on the left sleeve.
thanks very much.
Some areas are now saying two fingers - so aim for between 2 and 3 and you should be ok.
Of course, we could query, are they children or adult fingers? Fat or thin fingers? .............. could make a load of difference.
On the polo shirts, aim for halway between the seam and hem, then it should be right! It's harder on long sleeved tops though - the badge on my hoodie is pretty much shoulder height.
Don't brand me, don't classify me, don't tell me what to wear. I'll be who I want to be!

Oooh, this reminds me, I need to sew a badge onto my adult polo!
My SS polo is indecent, and although I'm going on this trip as SS I can't see the point in buying a new top for it.

do you have to have one on every uniform top you're taking.
I'm SS and have a hoody, long sleeved shirt, polo and rugby shirt...i will probably take them all as i'm going for a week, will i need an international badge on all of them??

When I went, I put one on both my uniform tops (polo shirt and hoodie)...was still JB style back then, that's all we had. I spent most of my time wearing my '3 pack camp tshirts', which I didn't put badges on as they're not 'proper uniform'. It's nice to put it on as many as you can afford I guess. Plus at the end of the trip, if they haven't been on long & you're very very careful cutting them off, they can be used as gifts/swaps. (you can always replace them when you get home)
