I was thinking about a caribbean game too and thought about a game called "fruit salad" - have you heard of that?
Basically all the girls sit in a circle on chairs and you give each one the name of a fruit. About 4 fruits will do for the whole group.
You call a fruit name, one or two and each girl with that name has to get up and swap seats. If you shout "fruit salad" they all do it. Of course when you say fruit salad you take one chair away so it leaves one out.
I thought for caribbean theme maybe could use tropical fruit?
I know sounds a bit lame but its all i can think of at the mo![]()

There's a singing game called 'I let her go, go' - might be able to find it online, if not I could probably write out the tune and instructions. It would kill the proverbial two birds!
'If life were simple - it would be boring!'
What about limbo dancing? Or a coconut shy? Islands with the carribean islands? Each island name is written on a sheet of paper. You play music(reggae maybe) and when it stops the girls have to stand on an island. You then pull a name of an island out of a hat and those standing on it lose a life or are out.
I let her go go song link: http://tuneguide.e-guiding.com/songshn.htm
instead of names out of a hat, why not make up a cardboard dice and have names of the different islands on the sides of the dice... then can throw the dice and whichever name it lands on is out? (and for younger girls, can turn game round so that whichever name it lands on, all those on that island name are in and get a sweetie?)
Some lovely person from the Caribbean heard of my request and sent me this game
Caribbean stone passing games are many and varied. I have seen the traditional Nine Night (like an Irish wake) in the hills of St Mary in Jamaica where round sea stones are passed in a circle and often used to keep time to music. Here is one example --
Everyone went out and found a stone to their liking, and came back into the workshop room. Eugene got us all to sit or kneel on the floor in a circle, with our hands on our stones in front of us.
He then explained how the game works:
On a given count, everyone passes their stone to the right. They have to place it on the floor in front of the person on their right. They then pick up the stone that is now in front of them (placed there by the person on their left).
Are you with me still? It is easier to show than to describe.
The idea is to settle into a rhythm that goes like this: put-down, pick-up, put-down, pick-up, put-down, pick-up, etc. Things get fun when someone fumbles a stone (the person next to them won’t have anything to pass on to their neighbour, and so the stones start to pile up. When the ‘Stop!’ is called, the person with the largest pile of stones in front of them is out).
You can also get the group to gradually speed up, or slow down.
Variations include building in some floor taps as well, such as:
One, two, put-down, pick-up
One, two, put-down, pick-up
You can also sing a song at the same time. We will Rock you goes well with the two-taps-on-the-floor-before-passing-on example just above.

GAME
Brown Girl in the Ring
This is a Ring game
Players form a ring holding hands, one girl goes into the middle of the ring and starts skipping around to the beat of this little tune – (you can hear the tune on Youtube if you search for “The Wiggles Brown girl in the Ring“— the one with the comment “one of my son’s favourite songs” Please use the words below, not theirs!
There's a brown girl in the ring
cha la la la lah
There's a brown girl in the ring

cha la la la lah
She looks like a sugar in a plum -- PLUM PLUM
During next song segment, the girl will start doing her favourite dance (I don’t know what your Brownies would do here, but when the Jamaican children in my school played this game in the ‘80’s, it would be hands on hips, swinging the hips and stepping from side to side to the music. I expect they have a more modern dance now!)

during next segment the girl will pick her partner/friend to join her in the ring. The game ends when everybody is in the middle!
