Thread: Is anyone fundraising for the Chilean Earthquake fund?

  1. #1

Trefoil 2 Is anyone fundraising for the Chilean Earthquake fund?

I noticed that there were badges on sale to raise money for the Haiti fund and wondered whether anything similar was being done to raise money for Chile.

I dont think so but i think we should, if someone designs a badge i would happily co ordinate this as i am off my feet and am bored at the moment. We could have a genral earthquake badge to raise funds for which ever place is suffering at the time (Just a thought) or a specific one for Chile.

First thing you need to do is come up with a desugn

Then gauage interest so you know how many to order

The approach badge comapnies for a quote

The decide on your price (making sure enough is asked for to allow for a decent donation to the charity)

    Love the idea though!

probably best to have a specific badge, otherwise you are into awkward areas of deciding amounts to send where etc etc don't forget to add "2010" on the badge somewhere....

pick your charity and make up a flier and could even mention it on the badge?

if orders are going to be large, pick a company like goldpress/mbc as their high order costs per badge are really low (compared to others)

once have a design and price and decided on the "charity" (although lots help out - so going to be hard choosing)... need to guage amount to order (perhaps copy what pompey has done in the past/is doing???? - start a thread to ask for pre-orders to guage level of interest)

another possibility is to do a general fundraising badge for a charity like INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS - so badge is specific, but would cover more than one "disaster"

When you're designing a badge for the companies do you have to do it on the computer or can you do it hand drawn?
