    Default Pack Holiday Themes

    Hi
Im doing my Pack holiday licence this year and need to start planning but i have no idea what themes we can do. Last year we did "pirates" and the year before "in the Jungle".
I have no idea what we can do except Harry potter.
Anyone got any ideas and activities to go with it.

    Thanks
    Suzie C

We let ours choose out of three including the one we want to do and have prepared and then we work the results or persuade them!!!

We give them a choice of 3 or so but also ask them before the end of this year (july) what themes they would like.
    Thanks for the ideas

Sometimes it is more fun for you to let the Brownies choose on their own. The last time we did this we ended up with Ponies and Riding.

We had to be very inventive.

i have never tried asking them but if you doing the brownie holiday badge you are supposed to have their input.

it could be fun to ask the only problem is if you have girls not going do you include them or just do it seperate.

we have done for a theme
winnie the pooh - played pooh sticks, made a piglet with card and split pins, went on a woozle hunt
tailor of gloucester (christmas theme) -very easy cards, christmas cake, decorations, snow men
jungle book - face painting, made radiator snakes, went to a playground, found food monkeys had hidden
101 dalmations - coloured a dalmation, bit of sewing, pompom dog
cinderella - made tiaras, decorated a dress for banquet, hair slides, colouring pages
beatrix potter - made a paper house, make a hedgehog from a teasel, relevent treasure hunt
rupert, disney, colours, peter pan, seasons, animals

all i can think for now:nature-smiley-003:

we normally give them a choice between a few ideas, make it a secret vote, and get the leaders to join in and all choose the one you want. the brownies will never know if you hav 2 fix it, as long as a couple of them choose it! bit cheeky but never mind.

    good ideas are:
    recent childrens films
mr men (always good coz there is lots of stuff on the net)
disney (high school musical will b popular)
    books

we did lion the witch and the wardrobe when the film came out which was quite good

    countrys
    famous people
    movies
    books
    lady powell
    different countrys
    pirates
    fairys
    garden

The girls are supposed to choose but you might want to give them a bit of guidance unless you really like High School Musical!!!

Think about what films & books are popular (eg Shrek, Roald Dahl etc...) or go for something more general (eg circus, seaside, Hollywood etc...)
