Question How easy is it to hole punch laminated cards?

Im thinking of getting my Brownies to make mock security passes for a detective pack holiday and though about laminating cards and punching a hole for some string or ribbon so they can put it round their neck.

I've never laminated anything so wasn't sure if you can punch holes in it with a regular hole punch or do you need something stronger?

Normal hole punch will do the job no problem

Thank you! I vaguely remember breaking a hole punch when I was in school after trying to punch too much paper in one go so was a bit worried lol.

I've done a few of these this morning, mine were 80micron laminate, with normal paper. Even folded double this was fine, as easy as punching a couple of sheets of paper.
The thicker the laminate and paper/card, the harder it gets, but as long as your hole punch hasn't gone blunt through years of use, it should be easy, especially if you do one at a time.

At WINGs we had laminated card, and found the hand punches worked better (and got some funky shapes) than normal hole punches

I am talking about them, we designed with the intention they would be kept as momentums, so pleased to hear that has been the case
