Rules in additional to those below:

1) No members to be under 14 years old

2) You must either be senior section, Young Leader, Leader or an Adult member of GGUK, eg Guiders unit helpers, trainers, Commissioners, ambassador, padres. etc

3) No swearing, spamming, or being disrespectful to other members

4) Please be mindful of the data protection act.
No mentioning names and details that can be directly linked to anyone.

5) Do not post under multiple aliases. Anyone who does this will have their posts deleted ASAP. If it happens consistently, the offender will be banned.

6) Please keep all posts on the same topic that the board you are posting on is dedicated to.

In the profile section please

1) Set the time difference as +6 (we do not live in manhattan unfortunately........dreams of glugging cosmopolitans on fifth avenue)

2) Give yourself an Avatar. we have a whole section of them, all bright and shiny!

3) Please try your best to fill in your profile, It means we can see where you are from, what section you work with and what you like to do!

4) If you want a photo on your profile (Like mine) you can upoad one from your home computer!) - so much easier than before

Hi If you want your own image, you need to

1) create an image that is 100 pixels square

2) go to Photobucket.com and sign up for image hosting.

3) upload your image. this should then give you the URL if the image

4) come back to this site and enter the URL in your profile update section.

5) voila you have your mug or an image that you like representing you!!

Then you need to go to the Introductions board.

1) please place in the title (name's) Intoduction (Section you work with- Roles) So mine looked like

Dizzylisa's Introduction (Guides) (PR Rep)

This allows others to see who works with the same section as them, A problem shared and all that!

2) Then type away on your introduction. Do not put any telephone numbers or addresses in this intro (that is just asking for a weirdo at your front door)

This is a funky system of seeing how many posts everyone has done (I'm just crazy like that!)

Rainbow 0-10 posts
Brownie 10-25 posts
Girl Guide 25-50 posts
Senior Section 50-75 posts
and so on and so on!!!

Links in signatures must follow these guidelines:

Promotional text for a commercial product or service is ok, provided there are no price(s) of product(s) or service(s) listed.
A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial and does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) is allowed, provided the site is not sexual or does not violate community standards. The team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. (Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.)
Duplicate links to the same URL in a signature are not allowed.

Avatars

• Avatars that may be confused with official staff avatars are not allowed.

Affiliate Programs

The BadgeFreaks affiliate program is designed to allow people to advertise BadgeFreaks products on their web site and earn a commission on all sales generated through that link. You are not allowed to post your affiliate link anywhere on the Guiders forums, in your signature or send the link through private messages to other forum users. Anyone that does this may be removed from the affiliate program immediately without notice. This rule applies to all affiliate program links, not just the BadgeFreaks program.

Signature Size Limits

• All signatures should not exceed the following size limits, and you can't have both text and images
• For text signatures: 4 lines normal size, 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. (Blank lines count as lines.)
• Do not use images with large text to bypass the previous item
• For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size
• Animated images in a signature are not allowed

• The Off Topic forum is where members can gather to chat about almost anything, guiding or non-guiding in nature. If you have a question that doesn't fit into any other forum, or just want to chat, this is the place.
