Record Book from 1942

Many thanks to fenris for sending me this fantastic short diary of a guide named Vera A Craig.

It's a 10 page record book of Queen Mary School Service Club from the end of 1942. We don't know who she is as fenris acquired the book from an eBay lot.

Basically it's a little window into how life was like for a guide in 1942 with the added bonus of some very well drawn illustrations.

I'd really like to print a copy for our remembrance night next week, but when I try I end up with a huge black column down the middle, and can't seem to get rid of it. is that a side effect of Flash? any way of getting round it?
