I am waiting to find out where it is, we did Charnwood 2011 and it was on far too steep a site for our camping - huge hill to climb for us camping at the top, huge slope to pitch tents on for those camping on the slope!

PS Poacher is always amazing!!!!!

a question - do you have to do your own catering?
There is normally full optional staff catering - exact options/prices yet to be announced, camping groups cater for themselves but there are normally snack outlets (open to staff and participants) onsite that can be used for some meals - camp is in a new location this time so local take out options yet to be tested. Some staff part cater for themselves. Some Ranger/Explorer groups "book in" for some meals with their local Guides/Scouts if they don't mind walking to another sub camp. And if you need/get "time out" there's always this Tea Room - Cattows Farm outside of the camp site!!

Hi @Charnwood Fan do you know if the 14-17 yr olds can camp with their units alongside 10-14's without missing out???? we have a couple who will be 14, but definitely not up to camping alone (they would sleep for the week!) also don't want to send loads of adults for 2 or 3 girls!!!
