Was thinking of getting the Guides to make string square knot belts on metal belt buckles - anyone got any idea of how much string would be needed per belt, or a set of instructions for making them?

To make a macrame belt using flat knots or spiral:
The centre thick string/thin rope or cord (passives) would need to be enough to go round the waist twice plus some excess to dangle at the end/s. "The workers" (either side of the centre ones) would need to be 3 to 4 times the length of the centre ones.
Double both lots of cord/thin string/fine rope then put the passives in the middle and one worker either side....then start knotting

Not sure if this is much help as I have never done macrame square knots & can't seem to find it on google.
