Thanks so much for these great ideas, it's amazing that a pack of pegs for less than £1 entertained a unit of Guides for an entire night!. Whist we hadn't planned a full games night, sometimes you just have to go with the flow, the Guides pleaded for more peg games.
Another couple of games we played included:
Game 1: One person sits in the middle on a chair and everyone else sits on a chair in a circle around them. The person in the middle has to keep their eyes closed (or blindfolded). Everyone in the outer circle has a number of pegs each.
One by one, the girls in the outer circle have to try to sneak up and place a peg on the persons uniform. If the person in the middle senses them they have to point to where they think the person is. If they are correct, they are out. When everyone bar one person is out, they are then the winner and would switch places with the person in the centre.
Game 2: Layout as above however this time the person in the middle has all the pegs already attached to their uniform. One by one the people from the outer circle have to sneak in and try to remove a peg without being caught.
Thanks again so much for the fab game ideas!
Tried some of these with my Brownies. We didn't expect a group of the oldest girls (had friendship problems with that group) but by the second go they had a tactic- by the third everyone copied! They loved it! Thanks for a great set of ideas
