I'm sure this must be on a thread somewhere, but can anyone tell me what sort of time people are arriving on Friday - what time are we allowed in from? And what time do we leave Sunday?
thanks

Hi Floss

The organisers will be on site from mid afternoon and most people will be arriving from around 4pm onwards with a few late comers due to transport after work. I think most people are leaving around lunch time on Sunday although the organisers will be there for a while longer to tidy up and lock up. If you are arriving or leaving outwith these times we will try to accomodate you.

Looking forward to meeting all you next week.

I can come and help after lunch if you want? Dropping the kids off at my Mums in the morning so I'm free in the afternoon.

Just realised I have to go round Hermiston Junction!! I hate that place!!!!
I'd happily drive through the centre of Edinburgh (even with the tram works) than go round hermiston!! I'll need a strong cup of tea when I get to Bonaly!

That name rings a bell - if I approach Edinburgh from the south and carry on towards Aberdeen, would I have been round that?
More than likely as it would lead you onto the road north.
I have never driven round it myself but have been paying attention when hubby drives to Easter Road - how hard can it be LOL!!!!!!

Dippy - the directions I've posted mean that you go straight past Hermiston Junction - and come off at Dreghorn Junction, which is easier! I can give you directions through town if you prefer - I just reckoned round the bypass would be easier for non-locals than dodging round streets.

Thanks Fenris...I'll be fine , I like a challenge!!! LOL

Because I am coming over the Forth Road bridge my sat nav seems to think it would be fun to take me onto that junction. I might cheat and leave from My Mums and come over the new Clackmannanshire bridge....my sat nav doesn't have that yet and keeps telling me I'm in the Forth!! LOL
I was in Edinburgh on Saturday and it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Anyone kindly offering pick-up's from the train station?

Or how much would a taxi cost?

Might be able to arrange something. There is a bus that leaves from Princes Street just across the road from the station, takes about 30 minutes, costs £1.20 (exact money required) and will bring you to the bottom of the road where a lift can definitely be organised.

As there's going to be 3 of us, we may as well get a taxi than pay bus fares and have to walk a bit with all our kit, so will probably do that. Hope the taxi person will know where we are going!!
