LaSER are offering a really great event for members of The Senior Section in link with the Senior Section Spectacular, called "Use Your Voice 2016"!

#UYV2016 is a 2 day dynamic democracy festival event, on September 10th-11th, in areas all around central london. With a wide range of workshops all around Lond, some including blogging and journalism, topical debates, visits from VIPS and performances, as well as talks by experts in the campaigning world!

The best part is that UYV2016 can be a tailor made programme for members with three suggested pathways to explore!
    • INFORM – learn about topical issues
    • EQUIP – workshops to learn campaigning skills and more
    • INSPIRE – hear from game-changers in the campaigning sector

As well as the events and workshops throughout the day there is a Flagship event on the Saturday (10th) night, being hosted at London's Living Room in the Greater London Authority Building!

The flexibility continues with an opportunity to have a sleepover on the Saturday Night! Or just to attend one day! And members can come with and without leaders.

Some the venues events are taking place include; The 1901 Arts Club, Greater London Authority and many other quirky Central London venues!

Ticket are £25 per person and includes the program throughout Saturday and Sunday, as well an event goodiebag containing a badge and other goodies! (However this does not include travel to/from or around London, other merchandise or the Sleepover as it is priced separately.)

    Some of the confirmed speakers include;
    • Amber Rudd (Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change)
    • Maya Evans (Campaigner for Voices For Creative Non-Violence UK)
    • Nicola Grinstead (Chair, WAGGGS World Board)
    • Elli Moody (Head of PR and Advocacy, Girlguiding)
    • Arifa Nasim (Director and Co-Founder of Educate2Eradicate)
And loads more to be announced!

There are three options for sleepovers too!
    • ‘Kip in a Ship’ aboard HMS Belfast - £50 per head (14-18's only) Including a learning session on 9am and breakfast in the Walrus Café!
    • YHA St Paul’s -£40 per head and breakfast on-site.
    • ICANDO - £28 per head and Continental breakfast on-site.
The best part of #UYV2016 is each individual can customise and formulate their own program across the two days! This could also allow you to combine the trip with visiting shops, landmarks or even the theater!

Booking closes the end of July or sooner if all spaces are filled!

To book you can visit Girlguiding LaSER's website or use the links below!
