Can you give us some suggestions for activities so that we can start to plan what you would like to do?

we could organise archery or there are outdoor permanant cooking shelters with firepits so we could do backwoods cooking
there is also a river so we could do some raft building. except last time i was the muggings releasing them and I ended up wading in the river with all the kids laughing as i tried to rescue them from the riverbank

there is a wicked campfire and a stove inside we could use for smores

Going on the format from previous G2G's, i would say that a campfire on maybe the saturday evening would probably be a good idea!

I don't mind archery, but i'm not devistated if i don't do it! I'd quite happily do raft building though if there are others interested!

And i think Smores are not a debatable activity. Smores HAVE to happen! ;)

If it's raft building, I'm sure it more than likely will go down ;)

reminds me of people skills training course I went on once!

I was happy to help build raft, but a wee bit wary of getting on it!!! but luckily ours didn't sink in the end and even our barrels stayed firmly attached and didn't fill up with water!

where would u all like to go to? There is Barry Island, Cardiff Bay, St Fagans?
we would all have to agree on it so we could pay to hire a small bus.

ooh do like raft building - although I'll warn you all first I can't swim!!! (more than a WIDTH) I love that kind of stuff - I've been on a work placement doing bush craft activities such as Whittling and Fire Work, I love it!

I aint been to St Fagans for ages or been on the Island - inside that is. Am scratching my head and really can't think of anything else at the moment...

If there was enough of us going with cars (assuming that the car will seat 4, plus the driver, unless someone has a really small car, that only needs to be 1/5th of us) then would a bus be necessary?

I'm not too fussed about going out, I enjoy sitting about and chatting at G2Gs.

I would be up for raft building, as long as there is a warm shower at the end and who ever is worried they can't swim - I'm a lifeguard! (Pool not open water but I have open water exp!)

Oh Dizzy, has that official Gav n Stace tour of Barri started yet like?

Hmmm. Are adults allowed without chidren in Techniquest? I miss it I do, often wonder if they have the same stuff as they did 10 yrs ago.....

I'm up for staying hanging around chatting too, maybe doing some crafts or board games etc?

I'm now considering taking the day off work if I'm not prebooked, and travelling down early to see the area. My dad is from Mid-Glamorgan, but I've never been, so it'll be a nice chance for me to see where my roots are.

Was in Techniquest earlier this week when I went down to Cardiff to visit rellies, dd enjoyed it and I have to confess to doing a version of chopsticks on the giant floor piano :) :) I'm up for smores, and raft building and I've never done archery so that would be good too. St Fagans is good if it isn't too wet as its pretty spread out really. My car will take 4 out and about. There are some (fast/wet!) boat trips around Cardiff Bay that I wondered about - think they were called sea-safaris and a walk over and past the barrage which we didn't do as it was chucking it down, hey ho wet wales is what I always think when we cross the bridge !! :)

In that case if we have a few cars we can do it like that then it's easier and some can have the option of staying

They have started the gavin and stacey tour and it's doing my nut in
every Saturday I have a coach load of people gawping At my house like a stuffed mullet!
This morning twenty separate groups of people have pulled up to take pictures in the space of an hour! I want to move

I'm happy to go out and about or whatever!
Me and BusyBagder will probably bring one car between us and both can fit 3 extras in (along with driver) comfortably. 4 at a very big push [=.
So - I wouldn't mind driving about - as long as I know wherre Im going [=
